ABOUT OUR RANCH
The Delaney Ranch is located on a prominent vista overlooking the Yampa River Valley, just 30 minutes from Steamboat Springs. The ranch represents ranching in Routt County through the turn of the 20th century and continues its agricultural heritage today.
A living legacy of its original owners, Leslie Kimsey then Isadore Bolten, the ranch is listed on both the Routt County and State of Colorado Registers of Historic Places. Come join us in a journey through time as the ranch has remained relatively unchanged since 1920!
About Our Family
Our family is passionate about horses! As a young girl, Tammie Delaney was fortunate to learn about horses through the Perry Mansfield riding program in Strawberry Park near Steamboat Springs. From there, her life has revolved around equines. The Delaney Ranch in Hayden was the ideal location to raise children and horses and has been their home since 1994. Their two children, Liam and Millie, both have ridden since they could say “up” and now are competitive with Yampa Valley Pony Club and 4-H Horse activities. We ride English and Western and particularly enjoy eventing as it combines the discipline of dressage with the thrills of jumping.
About Our Horses
Tammie grew up involved in 4-H and still admits that buying and selling horses is not a skill she excels in. She still has her 4-H project she raised from a foal 28 years ago along with several other special horses that have found their way into the Delaney Family. While the Delaney’s ride, train and compete consistently on several of their horses, many others long for more attention and rides to keep their youthful spirit soaring. As these retirees love their home, and the Delaney’s love them too, memberships became a way for the family to share their love for horses and the special equines on their ranch with those who long to learn more about the special love that only horses seem to give. Please contact us if you'd like to learn more about this wonderful opportunity to have horses become part of your life!
